Tried & Tested Installation Systems
i4 | Drained Rear Ventilated Rainscreen System
iFab’s i4 Drained Rear Ventilated Rainscreen (DRVR) System was developed to help protect a building’s envelope from water penetration while providing superior air and thermal insulation.
The i4 System can stop over 90% of the water that could potentially reach the air and vapor barrier of the building. The remaining water is gradually dissipated through the combined action of gravity or drainage and air circulation and evaporation.
The design of this system consists of two layers — the inner and outer leaves. The outer leaf, also known as the exterior cladding, is the first layer of protection, and between this layer and the inner leaf is an air space known as the drainage plane or ventilation cavity. The inner leaf consists of an air and water-resistive barrier and the building structure. In some cases, the inner leaf also consists of insulation.

i7 | Pressure Equalized Rainscreen System
iFab’s i7 Pressure Equalized Rainscreen System was designed to prevent water from reaching the building’s air vapor barrier. The system removes the driving forces of water penetration by equalizing the air pressure on the external and internal sides of the compartmentalized panel system.
Pressure equalization is achieved as wind enters through the vented openings of the cladding panels, instantaneously filling the sealed compartments of the cavity between the cladding and the wall behind it. Consequently, the pressure inside each compartment equalizes to the outside pressure, driving out the water through the panels before it reaches the air vapor barrier.

i9 | Route & Return Silicone Joint
iFab’s i9 Route & Return Silicone Joint System offers a weather-tight assembly, utilizing a closed-cell backer rod and structural silicone joint. It was created to provide leak protection, allowing flexibility on even the most complex designs.
This interlocking panel system allows faster and easier installation since spline joints are not needed. Instead, caulking is used to hide the fasteners and the inner frame of the panel, meanwhile providing fully-sealed cladding, ensuring water doesn’t reach the structure of the building.
Removing damaged panels is also made easy with this system, since the sealant around the perimeter of the panels can always be removed, giving accessibility to the fasteners of the damaged panel. After replacement, joints are simply re-sealed.
