Evolution of Architecture at Your Fingertips
Non-Combustible Aluminum Composite Materials / FR
Fully tested, certified, and accredited for use in the USA and Canada, FR ACMs feature two pre-finished aluminum sheets smooth-bonded to a fire resistant core. Perfectly paired, these parts are designed exclusively to meet fire performance requirements while they ensure the versatility, look, and functionality of traditional ACMs.
Aluminum Composite Materials / PE
Aluminum Composite Materials (ACM) PE is a three-layer panel featuring a thermoplastic polyethylene (PE) extruded core, bonded with two thin panels of pre-finished aluminum on either side.
ACM for Exhibits
This 2 millimeter Aluminum Composite Material is made up of two 0.3 millimeter aluminum cover panels and a mineral or polyethylene (PE) core. Recommended for flat panel applications, this material is exceptional for brand imaging displays, outdoor and trade show exhibits, outdoor kiosks, structural, traffic, and marquee signage, among many other applications.
Aluminum Composite Materials / Wood Grain Finish
Imagine the look of wood without the weight, recurring maintenance needs, combustibility, and cost. Pair that with a wide range of lengths, fire resistant properties, a consistent look, and you’ll get a perfect wood grain finish for all of your interior and exterior needs. These Fire Retardant (FR) sheets with a mineral-filled core have been tested by independent testing laboratories to meet the requirements of the International Building Code (IBC) for all construction types.
Aluminum Plate Panels
Often used on high-rise buildings, Aluminum Plate Panels are an architect’s favorite choice for being the most fire resistant product on the market. With a melting point of over 1200 degrees Fahrenheit, these plates offer flat, stiff, and dent-resistant characteristics, while also being recyclable.
Phenolic Sheets
Phenolic or HPL is a highly-durable and tough surface material that is infused with flame retardant epoxy resins. With insulating properties, this product is designed to withstand the wear and tear of even the most extreme heat, without losing its visual appeal, which makes it a great choice for exterior applications in highly-trafficked areas like retail, hospitality, healthcare, and educational facilities.
Frequently Asked Questions
A composite panel comprises two aluminum sheets and an inner thermoplastic base core that can hold a mineral charge. It is specifically designed for new construction ventilated facades as well as for renovation or rehabilitation. At iFab, we use the highest quality products, including composite materials consisting of fire retardants to minimize fire risks.
Aluminum composite panel fabrication is the process of cutting, bending, folding, and prefabricating Aluminum Composite Materials into shapes needed for a given project. Once the fabrication process is complete, the panels are taken to the project site, where they’re installed.
All variations of Aluminum Composite Materials are highly resistant to ultraviolet light, scratches, weather, and corrosion. This makes it perfect for a wide variety of applications in the exterior and interior of any building or structure. On top of that, ACMs can be easily cleaned and maintained, allowing them to maintain a sleek and brilliant look.
The features of aluminum composite materials (ACM) have become a highly modifiable product, which adheres to different forms of assembly, colors, and uses.
Typically, ACMs have solid, metallic, and other unique finishes. Among ACM properties, you can often find the following
- High dimensional stability: As a material, the aluminum composite panel does not present deformations in its dimensioning, which means that the material remains impact resistant, regardless of its size.
- A multitude of finishes: Most aluminum composite material manufacturers offer a wide range of finishes, including solid, metallic, and textured with mirror or wood-type finishes, making ACMs the most versatile material that can be adapted to almost any type of project and need.
- Fully-recyclable: The core material and cover sheets of an aluminum composite panel can be reused and if needed, recycled indefinitely.
- Lightweight properties: The low density of aluminum makes it the ideal material for substructure systems on architectural facades.
